Schenectady man charged with Felony DWI

On November 21, 2019, State Police in Princetown arrested 37-year-old Timothy D. Harper Jr. of Schenectady, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated- Previous Conviction and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree, both E felonies.
Harper was stopped by State Police for a traffic infraction on Thursday evening, as he travelled on Broadway in the City of Schenectady. When the Trooper approached the vehicle to speak with Harper, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol.
Harper was asked to exit the vehicle and was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he failed. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to SP Princetown for processing. While at the barracks Harper refused to provide a breath sample.
Harper was arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court and remanded to Schenectady County Jail on $2,000 cash or $2,500 bond. He is due back in court at a later date.
