Man facing felony charges after domestic dispute in Warrensburg

On November 21, 2019, State Police in Chestertown arrested Warren E. Devoe of Brant Lake, for Aggravated Family Offense (E felony), Criminal Contempt 1st degree (E felony), Criminal Obstruction of Breath (A misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief 4th degree (A misdemeanor).
Shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, State Police were called to a residence in the Town of Warrensburg for a domestic dispute.
Investigation at the scene revealed that Devoe had arrived at the victim’s residence in violation of an active stay away order of protection. Devoe and the victim then entered into a physical altercation during which Devoe choked the victim, struck them multiple times, and destroyed their cell phone when they attempted to call for help. Police arrived after a neighbor heard the altercation and called police.
Devoe was taken into custody and transported to SP Chestertown for processing. He was arraigned in Warren County Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to Warren County Jail in lieu of bail. He is due back in court on a later date.
