Buffalo man arrested for DWI and possessing over 3 ounces of marijuana following a traffic stop on the Thruway.

Buffalo, NY – On December 7, 2019, at approximately 10:50 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-190 in the city of Buffalo for a vehicle and traffic violation. Upon interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established. The driver, Anthony D. Sionkiewicz, 40, of Buffalo was found to be intoxicated and in possession of approximately 3.4 ounces of marijuana.
Sionkiewicz was taken into custody and transported to SP Buffalo where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .15%. He was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor and Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on December 27, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
