Waterford man charged after stealing wages

PRESS RELEASE

On January 9, 2020, Ronald Robbins Jr., 53, of Waterford, was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree.
 
On December 30, 2019, State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted by the NYS Department of Transportation regarding an employee who stole nearly $2,000 in unearned wages from April 2018 until September 2019. An investigation revealed Robbins documented the time, was paid $1,991.91, but never worked the hours that he was compensated.
 
Robbins was arrested by State Police and released on two appearance tickets. He is due back in court on January 23, 2020.
