Connecticut man arrested for DWI with a B.A.C. over twice the legal limit on the Thruway.

Rye, NY – On January, 11, 2020, at approximately 1:20 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Rye, for a vehicle and traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Edens Joseph, 38, of Stamford, CT, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP New Rochelle where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22%.
Joseph was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor and several Vehicle and Traffic Violations. He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Rye Court on January 29, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
