Homer troopers arrest man for DWAI and also find meth making materials

On January 14, 2020 at approximately 12:28 a.m. New York State Police at Homer arrested David M. Bucanelli, age 32 of Homer, NY for the felony of Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the third degree and the misdemeanors of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree.
Troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on State Route 11 in the village of Homer but the driver failed to comply. The driver, later identified as Bucanelli traveled down several streets in the village of Homer before coming to a stop on Cherry Street where he was placed under arrest.
Troopers subsequently discovered drugs and meth making components in the vehicle. Bucanelli was processed and will be arraigned in the Homer Town Court.
