Montreal woman arrested at Champlain POE for possessing stolen property

On March 25, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m. State Police responded to the I-87 Port of Entry in Champlain for a report of an individual in possession of stolen property. U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agents found 20-year-old Amanda Scalogna of Montreal in possession of a medical prescription pad during a secondary inspection. She was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree, a class A Misdemeanor.  
 
Scalogna was arraigned in the Town of Chazy Court. She posted $200 cash bail and was released to return on March 30, 2017, at 5 p.m. in the Town of Champlain Court.
