Disorderly man arrested in Helena

On March 27, 2017, at about 5:40 p.m. State Police responded to County Route 55 near Nevin Road in Helena, for report of a disorderly male in the roadway.
The investigation at the scene revealed that 46-year-old David N. Lantry of Massena, was in the roadway screaming and hitting vehicles as they drove by. Lantry was advised to cease his actions and he refused, yelling obscenities at responding troopers. Troopers then attempted to take Lantry into custody and he actively resisted and spit at the troopers. Subsequent to his arrest, he was found in possession of a smoking device containing marihuana. Lantry was charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment 2nd Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.
Lantry was arraigned in the Town of Stockholm Court where he was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $750 cash bail, or $1,500 bail bond.  Lantry is to reappear in the Town of Brasher Court on April 4, 2017, at 6 p.m.
