Roll-over crash in Dickinson leads to DWI arrest

On February 3, 2018, at approximately 7:38 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a one-car roll-over crash on Port Kent Road and County Route 5 in the town of Dickinson.
 
Once troopers were on scene, an investigation revealed that a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 35-year-old Nicholas Derushia, of Winthrop, was driving south on County Route 5. Derushia attempted to negotiate a turn onto Port Kent Road, causing the vehicle to roll over into the ditch on the southeast corner of the intersection. Neither Derushia nor his passenger, 34-year-old Danielle L. Derushia were injured.
 
Nicholas Derushia was subsequently arrested for DWI. His blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.08%. Derushia was chardged with DWI and further ticketed for unsafe spped. He was released with tickets to appear in the Dickinson Town Court at a later date and time.
