Two Greenport Residents Arrested On Felony Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

On February 8, 2018, at approximately 2:35 am, New York State Troopers stopped a 2011 Hyundai Sonata for speeding and failing to maintain lane on Sound Avenue in the area of Pennys Road, in the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County. The investigation revealed that the operator, Karon D. Grant, age 32 and passenger, Fredrick D. Grace, age 28, both of Greenport, NY, were found to be in possession of cocaine, heroin, marihuana, and drug paraphernalia. They were both charged with one count Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree with intent to sell (B Felony), one count Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree – Cocaine (C Felony), one count Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree – Heroin (C Felony), one count Criminal Use Drug Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor) , and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (Violation). Mr. Grant was additionally charged with numerous vehicle and traffic law violations. Both subjects to be arraigned at the Town of Riverhead Court.
