State Police is investigating a death of a 55-year-old woman at the Water’s Edge Inn located on State Route 28 in the town of Webb.
On Monday, February 19, 2018, at 3:45p.m., State Police along with the town of Webb Police Department responded to the hotel after Patricia Moschella, age 55, from Freehold, New Jersey was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi bathtub in her room by maintenance staff who went into the room due to a smoke detector going off. It appears Mrs. Moschella had a medical event prior to being discovered by staff members.
Today, an autopsy was conducted by the Albany County Medical Examiner’s Office and determined the cause of death to be an accidental drowning. There is no sign of foul play. The investigation is continuing.
