Wellsville Man Arrested for Driving While Impaired by Drugs

SP Amity - On February 24, 2018, Troopers arrested Jeffrey M. Pringle Jr., 27 of Wellsville, New York, for Driving While Impaired by Drugs.

Troopers stopped Pringle on State Route 19 in the Village of Belmont for an equipment violation.  Upon interview of the driver, the odor of an alcoholic beverage and the odor of marihuana was detected. Pringle admitted to drinking and possessing marijuana.  SFSTs were conducted and subsequently failed.  He was arrested and transported to SP Amity for processing where he recorded a 0.04% BAC.  He was then evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert.  He was charged with Driving While Impaired by Drugs, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  He was released on tickets and is due in the Village of Belmont Court on 3/7/2018 at 7:00PM.
