Astoria, NY man arrested for possession of Cocaine, MDA and Alprazolam subsequent to a traffic stop.

Cornwall, NY – On February 27, 2018, at approximately 12:27 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Cornwall for a speeding violation.  During the interviewing of the driver Paul E. Bueno, age 33, of Astoria, NY for the traffic violation probable cause to search the vehicle was established. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, approximately 3.64 grams of Cocaine, approximately 7.08 grams of Methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA) and approximately 4.68 grams of Alprazolam were located. Bueno was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh, where he was subsequently charged with:  
 

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (3counts)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree; a Class D Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor.
  • Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree; a Class A Misdemeanor  
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations

  
Bueno was arraigned in the Town of Cornwall Court. No bail amount or return court date available at this time.
