Kennedy man arrested for leaving child unattended

On February 28th, 2018, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Eric Vanstrom, 33, of Kennedy, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Vanstrom was pulled over on Route 62 in Kennedy for traffic violations, and while speaking to Vanstrom, information was obtained that Vanstrom’s four-year-old child had been left home unattended. After verifying this was true and leaving the child in the care of a family member, Vanstrom was placed under arrest, processed at SP Jamestown and released with an appearance ticket. Vanstrom is scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court on a later date.
