Albany Woman charged with Grand Larceny, Resisting Arrest

On Monday, March 5th, 2018, the New York State Police arrested Ashley Scott, age 18, of the City of Albany for several felonies, and misdemeanors, including resisting arrest, and obstruction of governmental administration in the 2nd degree. After having been contacted by Johnny Rockets in Crossgates Mall, Investigators based out of the Latham BCI determined that Scott had deposited fraudulent payroll checks totaling $4,480 into her bank account. She was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree, and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, both felonies. She was also charged additionally with Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd, both misdemeanors. When Troopers arrived attempted to arrest her, she resisted arrest and prevented Troopers from taking her into custody. Scott was arraigned in the City of Albany Court before the Hon. Farrell and was released to the supervision of Albany County Probation. She is due back in court at a later date.
