Seaford, NY man arrested for possessing Marihuana subsequent to a traffic stop.

Newburgh, NY – On March 6, 2018, at approximately 10:35 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the Town of Newburgh for an equipment violation. During the Trooper’s interview of the driver for the traffic violation probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. The driver, Zachary R. Blair, age 20, of Seaford, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 148 grams of Marihuana. Blair was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh where he was subsequently charged with:   
 

  • Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 4th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor  
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violation

 
Blair was issued appearance ticket for the Town of Newburgh Court and released with a return court date of March 26, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Blair’s   passenger was issued an appearance ticket and released without incident.
