PRESS RELEASE


(Union, NY – March 7, 2018) – On March 6, 2018 at about 8:24 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested two people after locating cocaine and heroin on a traffic stop on East Main St., in the town of Union.  Troopers observed a vehicle with no headlights on East Main St., in the town of Union. 

After an investigation, troopers arrested the operator of the vehicle, Marie Tyler, age 38 of Owego on the felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree and the misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. The passenger of the vehicle, Evan Philpot, age 29 of Union was arrested on two counts of the misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.   

Tyler was remanded to the Broome County Jail and is scheduled to appear in the town of Union Court on March 20, 2018.  Philpot was issued appearance tickets and released, he is scheduled to appear in the town of Union Court on March 13, 2018.
