Crash in Smyrna leads to DWI arrest

PRESS RELEASE


(Smyrna, NY – June 26, 2018) – On June 25, 2018 at approximately 1:46 a.m., New York State Police at Norwich arrested Bradley J. Lidell, age 34, of Norwich, NY for the felony of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, and the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  He was also issued numerous tickets, including one for Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test. 
 
Troopers were dispatched to a reported one car rollover on County Road 21 in the town of Smyrna.  Troopers located Lidell, who appeared to have signs of intoxication.  He was subsequently arrested.  An investigation also revealed Lidell’s license has been suspended 17 times.  

Lidell was transported to the Chenango Memorial Hospital for a complaint of pain.  After he was released, he was processed at SP Norwich then arraigned in the Smyrna Town Court.  Lidell was remanded to the Chemung County Jail on $7,500 cash bail or $12,000 bond.
