Carthage Man charged with sexual and physical abuse of a child

State Police in Carthage arrested Javon M. Marshall, age 22, from Carthage, NY for Sex Abuse 1st degree (class “D” felony), Assault 2nd degree (class “D” felony), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (class “A” misdemeanor).
 
On September 27, 2018, Chief Reginald Huber from the Carthage Police Department requested assistance from State Police with a reported sexual and physical abuse of a 16-month-old infant.  The infant was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
 
Marshall was arraigned in village of Carthage Court and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $30,000 cash bail/$60,000 bond.
