Delanson man arrested for possessing pornographic images of children

On October 16, 2018, personnel from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Main St. in Delanson, NY.  The search warrant resulted from an investigation that began with Cybertipline reports made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

Subsequent to the execution of the search warrant, Nick Hochmuth, age 34, of Delanson, was interviewed and admitted his role in downloading and sharing images of child sexual exploitation.  Digital evidence was secured and is currently being processed. 

Hochmuth is charged with one count of possession of a sexual performance by a child and one count or promotion of a sexual performance by a child.  He was arraigned in the Town of Duanesburg Court, remanded to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in Duanesburg Court on November 19th, 2018 at 6:00 PM. 

Hochmuth is currently a member of the Air National Guard at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Glenville, NY. He is also a volunteer firefighter at the Delanson Fire Department, and he serves as an Assistant Scout Master in Esperance, NY.
