Massapequa, NY female arrested for possession of liquid codeine and a forged driver’s license subsequent to a traffic stop.

Ellicia R. Correia 

Woodbury, NY – On October 19, 2018, at approximately 2:32 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Woodbury for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the Trooper’s interview of the driver for the traffic violation, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. During the search of the vehicle and its passenger Ellicia R. Correia, age 20, of Massapequa, NY approximately 2.25 fluid ounces of liquid codeine and fraudulent driver’s license were located. Correia was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh where she was subsequently charged with:   

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony
  • Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree; a Class D Felony  
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violations (driver only)

Correia is currently awaiting arraignment in the town of Woodbury Court. No bail information or return court date available at this time. The driver of the vehicle was issued tickets for vehicle and traffic violations and released without further charges.
