Lyons man gets arrested for multiple violations after pursuit.

On November 4, 2018, Troopers out of SP Lyons arrested William B. Collier, 38, of Lyons, New York for criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, fleeing a police officer, reckless endangerment, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection certificate, failure to stop for stop sign and failure to stop at a steady red signal.

Troopers attempted to stop Collier on Butternut Street in the Town of Lyons for having an invalid inspection sticker.  He continued fleeing and was eventually taken into custody on Broad Street in the Town of Lyons.  He was found to be driving on a suspended license and in possession of a scale containing cocaine residue.  Collier was arraigned in the Town of Lyons Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,200 cash/$2,400 bond.  He is scheduled to reappear at a later date.
