Brushton man gets arrested for felony aggravated DWI in Weedsport.

On November 4, 2018, Troopers out of SP Auburn arrested Andrew J. Barrett, 38, of Brushton, New York for felony driving while intoxicated (previous conviction within ten years), felony aggravated driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana.

While on patrol, Troopers observed a suspicious vehicle on North Seneca Street in the Village of Weedsport.  Barrett was placed under arrest after failing standard field sobriety tests.  He was also found in possession of marijuana.  Barrett was transported to SP Auburn where he provided a breath sample of .20% BAC.  He was arraigned in the Village of Weedsport Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash/$30,000 bond.  Barrett is scheduled to reappear on November 8, 2018.
