Two Dead in an attempted Burglary in Oneida County

State Police in Marcy are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at 6110 Walker Road in the town of Deerfield, Oneida County.

Investigation suggests that at approximately 2:40 p.m., the homeowner, Ronald Stolarczyk interrupted a burglary and shot the two suspects with an illegally owned handgun. The two suspects have been identified as: Ronald A. Stolarczyk, age 64, from 6110 Walker Road was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class “E” felony.  He was transported to the Oneida County Jail awaiting centralized arraignment.

State Police were assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation is continuing.
