PRESS RELEASE

Troop C Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Ability Impaired arrests May 8-May 31, 2019:

On May 8, 2019 at approximately 4:52 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Alexis H. Williams, age 25 of Sharon Springs, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  A trooper was dispatched to a one car accident on Interstate 88 in the town of Worcester.  The trooper observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol intoxication.  After an investigation, Williams was arrested; her reportable B.A.C was .10%.  Williams was processed and released to a sober third party.  She was scheduled to appear in the town of Worcester court on May 28, 2019.

On May 5, 2019 at approximately 6:18 p.m., New York State Police at Ithaca arrested Jennifer E. Lane, age 34 of Danby, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  Troopers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle off the roadway on Millard Hill Road in the town of Newfield.  After an investigation, Lane was arrested for DWI.  She was transported to by Bangs Ambulance to Robert Packard Hospital after she complained of a head injury.  Lane was issued traffic tickets to appear in the town of Newfield court on May 16, 2019. 
 
On May 8, 2019 at approximately 10:33 p.m., New York State Police at Deposit arrested Dawn M. Jorett, age 34 for the Sidney, NY for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years).  She was additionally issued a traffic ticket for refusal to submit to a breath test.   Troopers responded to the area of State Highway 206 in the town of Masonville for accident, no injuries were reported.  Troopers located the vehicle Jorett had been operating.  A witness told troopers there was a deer in the roadway and it appeared that Jorrett attempted to avoid the deer then struck a guiderail and a tree.  As troopers interviewed Jorrett about the accident, they observed several characteristics associated with alcohol intoxication.  After an investigation, she was arrested for DWI.  Jorett was arraigned in the town of Masonville court where she was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond.
 
On May 9, 2019 at approximately 10:10 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested John D. Woloszyn, age 49 of Binghamton, NY for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years).  A trooper was flagged down by a concerned citizen at the Speedway Gas Station on State Routes 7 and 8 in the town Bainbridge because a male was unconscious in a running vehicle.  The trooper began an investigation and was able to wake Woloszyn up and determined he was impaired.  He was subsequently arrested, with a reportable B.A.C of .20%.  Woloszyn was arraigned in the town of Afton court where he was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on no bail.  A date to appear on May 13, 2019 was set. 
 
On May 9, 2019 at approximately 10:20 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Jack J. Favia, age 32 of Worcester, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree.  He was also issued a ticket for Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and traffic tickets for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Using a Portable Electronic Device and Driving on Shoulder.  A trooper observed the vehicle Favia was driving on the shoulder of Interstate 88 in the town of Oneonta.  A traffic stop was initiated and the trooper observed that Favia appeared to be impaired.  After an investigation, he was arrested.  He was subsequently processed then released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Oneonta court on May 14, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party.
 
On May 9, 2019 at approximately 11:09 p.m., New York State Police at Norwich arrested Derrick J. Head, age 26 of Oxford, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .17%.  Troopers stopped the vehicle Head was operating after they observed an equipment violation while he was on Albany Street in the village of Oxford.  After an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  Head was processed and released on appearance tickets to the village of Oxford court on May 20, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party. 

On May 9, 2019 at approximately 11:12 p.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Ryan N. King, age 31 of West Winfield for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.   A trooper observed King speeding while on State Route 28 in the town of Exeter and initiated a traffic stop.  After an investigation, King was arrested for DWI with a reportable B.A.C of .12%.  He was issued appearance tickets to the town of Exeter court for May 22, 2019 and released to a sober third party. 

 
On May 10, 2019 at approximately 5:30 p.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Barton T. Doyle, age 52 of Plainfield, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .23%.  He was also issued tickets for Failure to Keep Right, Moved from Lane Unsafely and Drove to Left at a Hill Crest/Curve.  A trooper responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 51 in the town of Plainfield.  Troopers determined Doyle was impaired by alcohol.  After an investigation, he was arrested.  Doyle was released on traffic tickets returnable to the town of Plainfield Court on May 15, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 10, 2019 at approximately 6:25 p.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Edward J. Dadiako, age 21 of Binghamton, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  A trooper responded to a complaint of an argument in a parking lot near Moe’s on State Route 281 in the town of Cortlandville.  After an investigation, the trooper learned that Dadiako had been smoking marihuana earlier in the day, drove and was smoking marihuana while in the parking lot.  After an investigation, Dadiako was arrested for DWAI.  He processed and released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Cortlandville court on June 3, 2019.  Dadiako was later turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 10, 2019 at approximately 9:33 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Joseph Clark, age 32 of Franklin, NY for the misdemeanors of Driving While Intoxicated, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle in the third degree, Criminal Contempt in the second degree and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  He was also issued numerous tickets for traffic violations.  A trooper located Clark after a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) was broadcast by Otsego 911 that Clark had violated an order of protection and taken a vehicle without permission while he was in the town of Sidney.  The trooper observed Clark inside the vehicle while behind a store on State Route 7 in Unadilla but he left the area before the trooper could initiate a traffic stop.  The trooper caught up with Clark, he intentionally avoided the trooper.  When the trooper attempted to stop Clark, he failed to comply.  While on Wendell Bachman Lane, Clark lost control of the vehicle, exited the roadway, went into a ditch and overturned.  He was arrested with a reportable B.A.C was .09%. Clark was arraigned in the town of Sidney Court for the Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Criminal Contempt charges and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 property bond.  His next court date on those charges was May 23, 2019 in the town of Sidney Court.  He was appear in the town of Unadilla court on June 10, 2019 to answer to the Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana charges. 
 
On May 11, 2019 at approximately 4:25 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Melena M. Alexander, age 27 of Binghamton, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .20%.  Troopers checked on a vehicle that was driving well below the posted speed limit, drifting in its lane and with its four-way flashers on while on State Route 17 in the village of Johnson City.  After an investigation, Alexander was arrested then released on appearance tickets for May 22, 2019 in the village of Johnson City court then turned over to a sober third party. 

On May 12, 2019 at approximately 2:07 a.m., New York State Police at Newfield arrested Benjamin W. Hutter, age 22 of High Bridge, NJ for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .08%. Troopers observed Hutter fail to stop at stop sign at the intersection of Hudson Street and Coddington Road in the town of Ithaca.  He was also speeding down the roadway as he approached the stop sign.  As troopers activated their emergency lights to stop the vehicle, Hutter turned into a driveway.  After an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  Hutter was processed and released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Ithaca court on May 29, 2019. 
 
On May 12, 2019 at approximately 4:22 a.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Bernie Pizarro, age 38 of Syracuse, NY for the felony of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years) and the misdemeanor of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree.  He was also issued traffic tickets for Moved from Lane Unsafely and Driving on Shoulder.  Troopers monitoring traffic on Interstate 81 received a 911 complaint of an erratic driver that was swerving, braking and unable to maintain a lane.  Troopers located the vehicle near mile marker 52 in the town of Virgil and still being operated erratically and initiated a traffic stop.  After an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  Pizarro’s B.A.C was a reportable .21%, troopers also learned he had been convicted of DWI within the last 10 years.  Pizarro was arraigned in the town of Cortlandville court where he was turned over to Alternatives to Incarceration and scheduled to reappear on May 15, 2019. 
 
On May 12, 2019 at approximately 6:14 p.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Hank M. Mahaffy, age 45 of Liverpool, NY for the Felony of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with Child 15 or Under as Passenger, three counts of the misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child and also a ticket for Moved From Lane Unsafely.  A trooper monitoring traffic on Interstate 81 received a 911 complaint of an erratic driver, swerving and unable to maintain a lane.  The trooper spotted the vehicle just past mile marker 59 in Homer and observed the vehicle unable to maintain its lane.  A traffic stop was initiated and the trooper immediately observed Mahaffy to have several common characteristics commonly associated with alcohol impairment.  He also observed three children ages 8, 10 and 13 in the vehicle.  After an investigation, Mahaffy was arrested.  His reportable B.A.C was .13%.  The children were turned over to a sober third party.  Mahaffy was later arraigned in the town of Homer court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $500 cash bail. 
 
On May 12, 2019 at approximately 6:05 p.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested John M. Amatuccio, age 76 of Oneonta, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Drugs Combined.  A trooper observed a vehicle with an equipment violation traveling on State Highway 7 in the village of Otego.  A traffic stop was initiated and after an investigation the trooper determined Amatuccio was impaired.  Amatuccio was released on appearance tickets to the town of Otego court for May 28, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party.
 
On May 13, 2019 at approximately 11:17 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Alfred J. Majewski, age 55 of Dickinson, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .21%.  A trooper observed the vehicle Majewski was operating parked on Delaware Avenue, facing the wrong way.  When the trooper went to check on the operator, he drove off.  The trooper then observed Majewski cross over the solid double yellow line on several occasions.  A traffic stop was initiated and after an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  Majewski was processed then later turned over to a sober third party.  He was scheduled to appear in the town of Union court on May 21, 2019. 
 
On May 14, 2019 at approximately 11:34 p.m., New York State Police at Binghamton arrested David T. Baker, age 48 of Susquehanna, PA for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .13%.  A trooper observed Baker swerving while on Interstate 86 in the town of Windsor.  A traffic stop was initiated.  After an investigation, Baker was arrested for DWI.  He was subsequently released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Windsor court on May 29, 2019 then turned sober to a sober third party. 
 
 
On May 15, 2019 at approximately 1:22 a.m., New York State Police at Owego arrested Leonard I. Strope, age 55 of Wyalusing, PA for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  His reportable B.A.C. was .12%.  A trooper observed Strope driving very slow and cross the center line several times while on Pennsylvania Avenue in Apalachin. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol.  He was arrested for DWI then later released on appearance tickets to the town of Owego court May 23, 2019. 

On May 18, 2019 at approximately 2:41 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Russell A. McCall, age of Bainbridge, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and issued tickets for Speeding and Failure to Keep Right.  Troopers observed McCall speeding while on Algerine Street in the town of Afton.  Troopers initiated a traffic stop and observed common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment.  After an investigation, he was arrested.  McCall’s B.A.C was a reportable .19%.  McCall was arraigned in the town of Afton Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $500 cash bail or $2,500 bond.  His next court date was scheduled for May 20, 2019. 

On May 18, 2019 at approximately 3:34 p.m., New York State Police at Homer (Interstate Patrol) arrested Trisha L. Campbell, age 38 of Whitney Point, NY for the misdemeanors of Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the second degree.  Troopers received a 911 complaint of a vehicle driving erratically while on Interstate 81.  Troopers spotted the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in the town of Cortlandville.  After an investigation, troopers determined Campbell was intoxicated.  She was also found to have an active warrant in the town of Fulton.  Campbell was arrested, processed and released on appearance tickets to the town of Cortlandville court on June 3, 2019.  Campbell was then turned over to the troopers at SP North Syracuse to answer to her outstanding warrant charges. 

On May 19, 2019 at approximately 12:14 a.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Jason T. Tremain, age 44 of Richfield Springs, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C of .11%.  Troopers initiated a traffic stop after they observed the vehicle Tremain was operating with an equipment violation while on State Highway 167 in the town of Warren.  An investigation revealed that Tremain was under the influence of alcohol.  He was arrested and subsequently released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Warren court on June 11, 2019. 

On May 19, 2019 at approximately 3:22 a.m., New York State Police at Binghamton arrested Daisha M. Freeman, age 22 of Binghamton, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  Troopers patrolling State Route 7 in the town of Conklin observed the vehicle Freeman was operating with an equipment violation.  A traffic stop was initiated and troopers observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment.  They also smelled the odor of marihuana.  After an investigation, Freeman was arrested with a reportable B.A.C of .09%.  She was later released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Conklin court on May 29, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party. 

On May 19, 2019 at approximately 10:44 p.m., New York State Police at Binghamton arrested James C. Walsh, age 59 of Binghamton, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.  He was also issued tickets for Speed in Zone and Moved from Lane Unsafely.  A trooper observed Walsh speeding while on State Route 12 in the town of Chenango.  The trooper then observed Walsh failing to maintain a lane while on State Route 12A and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Walsh stopped after turning onto West Service Road.  The trooper immediately observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment.  After an investigation, Walsh was arrested; his reportable B.A.C was .18%.  Walsh was processed then later released to a sober third party.  He was scheduled to appear in the town of Chenango court on May 29, 2019. 

On May 21, 2019 at approximately 1:56 a.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Zachary S. King, age 24 of Oneonta, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  He was also issued tickets for Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Possession of an Open Container, Speed in Zone and Failure to Notify DMV of Address Change.  Troopers initiated a traffic stop after they observed King speeding while on Main Street in the town of Oneonta.  Troopers observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment.   After an investigation, King was arrested.  He was processed and later released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Oneonta court on May 28, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 22, 2019 at approximately 9:06 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Kristina M. Cook, age 28 of Binghamton, NY for the felonies of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (with a prior conviction within 10 years) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree.  She was also charged with the misdemeanor of Criminal Impersonation in the second degree.  A trooper on Main Street in the village of Endicott observed the vehicle Cook was operating with no license plates, registration or inspection sticker.  After a traffic stop was initiated, the trooper observed that Cook was acting erratically and had provided a false name.  After an investigation, she was arrested for DWAI and taken to Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing. 
 
On May 23, 2019 at approximately 6:45 p.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Shayne D. Curtis, age 58 of New Berlin, NY for the felony of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years) and the misdemeanors of Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving.  She was also issued tickets for Possession of an Open Container, Failure to Yield the Right of Way at Stop Sign and Failure to Comply with Lawful Order of Police Officer.  A trooper responded to an accident involving personal injury in the village of Cooperstown where it was reported that the driver at fault was leaving the scene.  The trooper spotted the vehicle on State Highway 28, partially in a ditch.  As the trooper pulled up to the vehicle, Curtis abruptly pulled back out onto State Highway 28, almost striking another vehicle.  Curtis drove for approximately .25 miles, swerving and failing to pull over for the trooper.  When she came to a stop, the trooper detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol intoxication.  After an investigation, she was arrested for DWI with a reportable B.A.C of .20%.  It was also revealed that Curtis had been convicted of DWI within the last 10 years.  Curtis was arraigned in the town of Otsego court where she was released on her own recognizance and order to appear in the town of Otsego court on June 19, 2019. 
 
On May 23, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Yvonne McNeil age 51 of Endicott, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  A trooper stopped McNeil after he observed her speeding on North Street in the village of Endicott.  After an investigation, she was arrested for DWI.  McNeil was processed and released to a sober third party.  She was scheduled to appear in the village of Endicott court on June 12, 2019. 
 
On May 24, 2019 at approximately 1:25 a.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Garrett R. Petit, age 27 of Tully, NY for the misdemeanors of Driving While Intoxicated and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  He was also issued several traffic tickets.  Troopers observed Petit speeding and cross over the center hazard markings while on State Highway 20 in the town of Richfield.  Troopers initiated a traffic stop and observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment.  After an investigation, Petit was arrested for DWI with a reportable B.A.C of .10%.  He was processed and subsequently released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Richfield court on June 5, 2019.

On May 24, 2019 at approximately 10:36 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Donald W. Mable, age 66 of Homer, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  He was also issued tickets for Moved from Lane Unsafely and Imprudent Speed.  Troopers were dispatched to a one car roll over on State Highway 8 in the town of Masonville and found Mable’s pick up overturned in the ditch.  After an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  He was issued tickets returnable to the town of Masonville court on June 18, 2019 and turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 24, 2019 at approximately 11:05 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Rachel L. Chace, age 22 of Cortland, NY for the misdemeanors of Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration.  Troopers were dispatched to the Interstate 88 rest stop in the town of Sidney for a domestic dispute.  A trooper who was on a traffic stop when he heard yelling and went to investigate.  Chace began obstructing the trooper’s investigation then physically resisted and ran when the trooper attempted to arrest her.  After an investigation, it was determined that Chace was driving and was impaired when the altercation started.  Her B.A.C was a reportable .11%.  She was processed at SP Sidney, arraigned in the town of Masonville court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. 
 
On May 25, 2019 at approximately 5:43 p.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Jemila Andrew, age 51 of Binghamton, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  She was also issued tickets for Moved from Lane Unsafely and Possession of an Open Container.  A trooper responded to Interstate 81 for a vehicle reported to be weaving in and out of traffic and striking a guiderail near the town of Virgil.  The vehicle was located and stopped at exit 13 near Preble.  Andrew was arrested, her reportable B.A.C was .07%.  She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Preble court on June 25, 2019.
 
On May 26, 2019 at approximately 4:13p.m., New York State Police at Norwich arrested Meridee N. Carpenter age 56 of New Berlin, NY for the felony of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (with a previous conviction within 10 years) and the misdemeanor of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the third degree.  Troopers stopped Carpenter after they observed her vehicle with an equipment violation while on East State Street in the village of Sherburne.  After an investigation, she was arrested for DWI with a reportable B.A.C. of .20%.  Troopers also learned Carpenter was previously convicted of DWI within the last 10 years.  Carpenter was arraigned in the town of Plymouth court where she was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail or $1500 bond.  She was set to appear in the town of Plymouth court on May 20, 2019. 
 
On May 26, 2019 at approximately 9:52 p.m., New York State Police at Greene arrested Frank S. Raymond IV, age 24 of Norwich, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C. of .08%.  Troopers were at a road check on State Highway 12 in the town of Norwich when they observed Raymond turn around just prior to entering the road check.  After an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  Raymond was issued appearance tickets to the town of Norwich court on June 6, 2019 and released to a sober third party. 
 
On May 27, 2019 at approximately 12:00 a.m., New York State Police at Norwich arrested Timothy J. Ross, age 50 of Edmeston, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C. of .13%.  Troopers were at a road check on State Highway 12 in the town of Norwich when they detected Ross to have several characteristics associated with alcohol intoxication.  After an investigation, Ross was arrested.  Ross was released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Norwich court on June 23, 2019. 
 
On May 27, 2019 at approximately 4:33 p.m., New York State Police at Greene arrested Craig J. Sweetland, age 34 of Apalachin, NY for the felony of Driving While Intoxicated (with a prior conviction within 10 years).  Troopers initiated a traffic stop after they observed an equipment violation on the vehicle Sweetland was driving while on State Highway 12 in the town of Greene.  Troopers immediately observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment and Sweetland was arrested.  His reportable B.A.C. was .11%.  Sweetland was arraigned in the town of Greene court and turned over to a sober third party.  His next court date is June 13, 2019. 
 
On May 29, 2019 at approximately 2:18 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Bernard Deforest II, age 38 of Unadilla, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C. of .17%.  A trooper responded to the complaint of a one-car accident on State Route 7 in the town of Unadilla.  The trooper located Deforest and she immediately determined he was impaired by alcohol and not injured.  After an investigation, he was arrested.  He was processed and released to a sober third party.  Deforest was issued appearance tickets to the town of Unadilla court on June 10, 2019. 
 
On May 29, 2019 at approximately 9:22 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Dustin R. Laman, age 26 of Binghamton, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  A trooper initiated a traffic stop after she observed Laman speeding while on State Route 26 in the town of Maine.  The trooper observed several indicators of alcohol impairment and after an investigation, Laman was arrested.  His reportable B.A.C. was .10%.  Laman was processed and released to a sober third.  He is scheduled to appear in the town of Maine on June 26, 2019. 
 
On May 30, 2019 at approximately 1:16 a.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Terell R. Wilson, age 33 of Binghamton, NY for the felony of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree and the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated.  Troopers observed Wilson’s vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Brocton Street and Lester Avenue in the village of Johnson City.  A traffic stop was initiated and after an investigation, he was arrested for DWI.  His reportable B.A.C. was .15%.  Troopers also learned that Wilson had 7 active suspensions on his license.  Wilson was issued appearance tickets to appear in the village of Johnson City court on June 19, 2019 and turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 30, 2019 at approximately 3:20 p.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Benvennueta H. Kinlock, age 50 of Stratford, CT for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated in Commercial Motor Vehicle.  He was also issued tickets for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Moved from Lane Unsafely and Possession of an Open Container.  Troopers received a 911 complaint of a tractor trailer that struck a guiderail 10 miles south of Hoxie Gorge and did not stop.  The witness who called 911 was following the truck until troopers were able to catch up the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop.  Troopers were able to observe several common characteristics of alcohol intoxication.  After an investigation, Kinlock was subsequently arrested with a reportable B.A.C. of .11%.  Kinlock was released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Cortlandville court on July 1, 2019. 
 
On May 30, 2019 at approximately 3:40 p.m., New York State Police at Stamford arrested Stacey R. Silber, age 42 of Walton, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  A trooper iniated a traffic stop after he observed Silber not wearing her seat belt properly while on State Route 28 in the town of Oneonta.  After an investigation, she was arrested for DWAI.  Silber was processed and released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Oneonta court on June 11, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 30, 2019 at approximately 8:27 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Larry W. Plows, age 40 of Otego, NY for the misdemeanor of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C. of .18%.  A trooper stopped Plows after he observed him speeding while on State Highway 51 in the town of Butternuts.  The trooper immediately observed several common characteristics associated with alcohol impairment.  After an investigation, he was arrested.  Plows was issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Butternuts court on June 13, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party. 
 
On May 31, 2019 at approximately 10:53 p.m., New York State Police at Binghamton arrested Melody B. Hoogendoorn, age 31 of Binghamton, NY for Driving While Intoxicated and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.  Hoogendoorn was also issued several traffic tickets.  A trooper initiated a traffic stop after he observed Hoogendoorn to have an expired registration while operating a vehicle on Conklin Road in the town of Conklin.  After an investigation, troopers determined she was impaired and also in possession of marijuana.  Hoogendoorn’s B.A.C. was a reportable .16%.  She was processed and released to a sober third party.  Hoogendoorn was to appear in the town of Conklin court on June 12, 2019. 
 
On May 31, 2019 at approximately 11:32 p.m., New York State Police at Margaretville arrested Kenneth D. Hinkley, age 59 of Roxbury, NY for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C. of .17%.  A trooper was dispatched to a one-car accident on County Route 8 in the town of Roxbury.  The trooper located Hinkley still in his vehicle, off the roadway and uninjured.  After an investigation, troopers determined Hinkley was intoxicated and he was subsequently arrested.  Hinkley was issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Roxbury court on June 12, 2019 then turned over to a sober third party.
