On June 12, 2019, Troopers from the New Scotland Station arrested 38-year-old Karen R. Papa for Driving While Intoxicated.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on SR-85 in the Town of Bethlehem for a vehicle failing to maintain its lane.  Upon interviewing the driver, she was observed with bloodshot glassy eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage from her breath.  Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and Papa was placed under arrest for DWI.

She was transported to the station where she provided a breath sample resulting in a .14% blood alcohol concentration.  She was processed and released to a sober third party to appear in court at a later date.
