Brooklyn woman arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

PRESS RELEASE

Brooklyn, New York – On August 18, 2019 at approximately 11:55 p.m., a Trooper from SP Brooklyn arrested Niskauri DeJesus Toribio, age 21, of Brooklyn, New York, for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree -  a class A misdemeanor, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree – an unclassified misdemeanor.
 
The Trooper was patrolling the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel and conducted a traffic stop on a gray-colored 2020 Toyota Corolla, operated by DeJesus Toribio, because the vehicle was reported as stolen. The investigation into the incident found that DeJesus Toribio’s driver’s license was suspended. It was also determined that DeJesus Toribio did not have authorization to operate the vehicle, and she was subsequently arrested.
 
DeJesus Toribio was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, and remanded to Brooklyn Central Booking pending arraignment.
