Clarence man arrested for DWI and weapon possession

PRESS RELEASE
On October 6, 2019 at approximately 12 am Troopers observed a vehicle speeding on Goodrich Rd, Clarence.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver Fredrick Seifert, 55 of Clarence, failed field sobriety tests.  He was arrested for DWI and during an inventory of his vehicle a rifle and several 30 round magazines were located.  Seifert has previously been barred from possessing a firearm.  Seifert was charged with Felony DWI and six counts of Criminal Possession of a weapon 3rd.  He was arraigned in the Town of Elma and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.
