Traffic stop leads to a Felony DWI arrest on the Thruway.

Harrison, NY – On October 21, 2019, at approximately 5:33 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-95 in the town of Harrison for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Liam McGuire, 36, of Mamaroneck, NY, was found to be intoxicated.  McGuire was transported and processed at SP New Rochelle, where he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system.  Additionally, McGuire has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated; a Class D Felony as well as multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations. 
 
McGuire was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on November 5, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
