PRESS RELEASE
 

 

Grand Island, NY – On November 1, 2019, at approximately 7:55 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on I-190 in the town of Grand Island.  The driver of the vehicle, Andrew Q. Almeter, 23, of East Amherst, NY, was found to be intoxicated.  He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Buffalo where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.23%. 
 
Almeter was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.  He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Grand Island of Court on November 6, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.
