Domestic dispute in Brasher results in an arrest

On October 28, 2019, at approximately 8:36 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on West Mahoney Road in the town of Brasher Falls for the report of a domestic dispute.

An investigation revealed that 27-year-old Steven D. Laclair II of Massena became aggressive toward both a male and a female victim. Laclair shoved the female victim against a truck, pinning her against it, and punching the truck, causing damage. Laclair got in his vehicle and drove toward the male victim’s truck while the female stood between them. Laclair struck the female’s foot with the vehicle and left the residence.

Laclair was arrested and charged with Harassment 2nd degree (violation), Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree (E felony). He was arraigned in the Brasher Falls Town Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
