Traffic stop on the Palisades Interstate Parkway leads to the arrest of a Philadelphia, PA man

On November 5, 2019, state police out of Haverstraw stopped Edward Beauvoir, age 23 of Philadelphia, PA for numerous vehicle and traffic law violations. Beauvoir was traveling northbound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. 


While speaking with Beauvoir, troopers determined that he he was in possession of a New York State ID but did not possess a valid driver's license from any state. During the investigation it was also determined that he was wanted by both Clarkstown and Spring Valley Police Departments. A search of the vehicle yielded several credit cards and two skimming devices.

Beauvoir was charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument (felony), Possession Skimmer Device 2nd Degree (Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operator (misdemeanor). He was then transported to the Town of Clarkstown Police Department to be held for his arraignment on his warrant and the additional state police charges.
