Albany man arrested for possessing a forged check

November 6, 2019 – SP Latham

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) stationed at SP Latham and New York State Troopers stationed at SP New Scotland arrested a 59-year-old Albany man for  the Class D Felony of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree and the Class E Felony of Grand Larceny in the fourth degree.   

Timothy L. Hodges was arrested after an investigation revealed that in July of 2019, he possessed and cashed counterfeit checks at a local bank in the town of Colonie. The checks were forged to indicate an amount just under $3,000.00.

Hodges was processed at SP Latham and arraigned at the Colonie Town Court on November 5, 2019.
