Clifton Park man facing multiple charges after domestic incident

PRESS RELEASE

On November 7, 2019, State Police in Clifton Park arrested 36-year-old Nauman S. Khan of Clifton Park, for Criminal Contempt 1st degree (E felony), Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (A misdemeanor), Assault 3rd (A misdemeanor), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A misdemeanor), and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree (A misdemeanor).
 
Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, State Police responded to a residence in Clifton Park for a domestic incident. Upon arriving, they interviewed the victim who stated they had been involved in a physical altercation with Khan. During the incident he covered their mouth, restricting their breathing, and took their cell phone, keeping the victim from calling police. The incident took place in the presence of a child and in violation of a standing order of protection.
 
Khan turned himself in to Troopers at SP Clifton Park and was processed. He was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on November 14, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
