Georgia woman arrested for possessing cocaine and 3 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop on the Thruway.

Glen, NY – On November 30, 2019, at approximately 2:20 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Glen for a vehicle and traffic violation.  Upon interviewing the occupants, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The passenger, Schenekqua L. Carter, 41, of Toccoa, GA, was found to be in possession of approximately 1.1 grams of cocaine and 3 pounds of marijuana. 
Carter was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Fultonville where she was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2th degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree; both Class D Felonies. 
Carter was arraigned before the Town of Glen Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.  A return court date of December 5, 2019 has been set.
