PRESS RELEASE



On December 2, 2019 the New York State Police arrested 23-year-old, Reynaldo A. Ratcliffe Sierra, of Auburn, NY.  Ratcliffe was charged with Assault 2nd, Resisting Arrest, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in Motor Vehicle 3rd, Violating State Sanitary Code (PHL-0229), Reckless Driving and numerous violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.  He was arraigned in the city of Auburn Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail.  The arrest is the result of an attempted traffic stop on State Route 5 in the town of Sennett after which the suspect fled in his vehicle into the city of Auburn.  The suspect then fled the vehicle on foot and resisted arrest which resulted in a member of the New York State Police being injured.  That member was treated at Auburn Community Hospital and later released.
