PRESS RELEASE

On September 23rd, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Natalie Wescott, 24, of Ashville, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The Troopers responded to a residence in Ashville for a report of a toddler in the roadway at approximately 8:15am. Investigation revealed that Wescott’s one-year old child had been left without adequate supervision and while Wescott left the home to run errands, the child exited the home, wandered into the roadway and was located by the caller. When the caller was unable to make contact with anyone at the child’s home, he called the police.  The condition of the home in which Wescott and her child were living was in a deplorable state and Child Protective Services was contacted. Wescott was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Wescott was issued and appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony Court on a later date.
