On April 1, 2020, at approximately 12:21 p.m., State Police responded Wal-Mart, 25 Consumer Square, in the town of Plattsburgh, for a report of a larceny.

An investigation revealed that 24-year-old Kaitlyn M. Smith of AuSable Forks stole approximately $758.16 in merchandise. Smith was also found to be wanted on an arrest warrant by the City of Plattsburgh Police Department.  She was charged with Petit Larceny. Smith was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Plattsburgh Court then turned over to the Plattsburgh City Police Department.
