Belmont man arrested for Ward burglary, drug possession

On August 27, 2019, SP Amity Troopers arrested Chad S. Jackson, 38, of Belmont, NY for Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree.

Troopers investigating a burglary in progress at a residence on Austin Road in the town of Ward determined Jackson had unlawfully entered the property and caused damage. He was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Jackson was arrested and arraigned in Friendship Town Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. He is due to appear in Ward Town Court in September.
