PRESS RELEASE
 
On September 1st, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Anthony Crouch, 39, of Bemus Point, for Menacing 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and Harassment 2nd Degree.
 
The Troopers responded to a trailer park in Bemus Point for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, the Troopers observed the victim with obvious facial injuries, however he refused medical treatment. Investigation revealed that in an intoxicated state, Crouch accused the victim of stealing his phone, knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the face, causing injury. Crouch then used his knife to stab the victim’s television and threaten to slit his throat. The victim was able to escape and call 911 from a neighbor’s residence. Crouch was placed under arrest, processed at SP Jamestown, and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
