Bethlehem Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

 

A joint investigation between the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigation, along with the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and US Department of Homeland Security has led to the arrest of a Town of Bethlehem man for possessing child pornography.  Troopers from the New Scotland barracks and Investigators from the Latham barracks took Kyle M. Caffrey, age 35, into custody on September 11, 2019 at his residence. The arrest was made after child pornography was found on his computer(s) and electronic device(s), which were seized on an earlier date during the execution of a search warrant at his home. Caffrey was charged with Promoting the Sexual Performance of a Child less than 17 years old, and Possessing the Sexual Performance by a Child, both felonies. Caffrey was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and sent to the Albany County Jail on $40,000 bail/bond.
