On April 6, 2020, State Police in Mayfield arrested 42-year-old Brendon P. Thompson of Broadalbin, for Criminal Restriction of Breath and Criminal Mischief 4th degree, both A misdemeanors.

Troopers responded to a Broadalbin residence shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night, for a domestic dispute. Thompson is accused of choking the victim and taking their cell phone to prevent them from calling police during an argument. Thompson left the residence prior to the arrival of patrols, but was taken into custody a short time later.

Thompson was arraigned in Broadalbin Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on a later date.
