Brooklyn resident arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated

Brooklyn, New York – On Saturday, February 6, 2021 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Troopers from SP Brooklyn arrested Melver R. Ambrocio, age 28, of Brooklyn, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – an unclassified misdemeanor.

 

The Troopers were patrolling the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel and conducted a vehicle stop on a black 2012 Nissan Altima, operated by Ambrocio, for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation into the incident revealed Ambrocio to be impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

 

Ambrocio was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and remanded to Brooklyn Central Booking pending arraignment.
