On July 1, 2019, State Police in Brunswick arrested 46-year-old Karl D. Horton of Brunswick, for Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.


Shortly after 8:00 p.m. last evening, Troopers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in the town of Brunswick. It was reported to police that Karl Horton had broken two windows and a side view mirror on the victim’s vehicle, and then left the scene.


As Troopers patrolled to the home they observed Horton attempting to hide in bushes along the roadway. As they approached him, Horton fled on foot and was taken into custody after a short foot chase. He was subsequently found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine.


Horton was arraigned in Brunswick Town Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or bond. He is due back in court on July 10, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
