Buffalo, NY – On June 17, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-190 in the city of Buffalo for a vehicle and traffic violation.  After interviewing the driver, Efrain J. DeJesus, 41, of Buffalo, NY, he was found to be intoxicated and had a suspended license. 

DeJesus was arrested and transported to SP Buffalo where he refused to give a breath sample.  Additionally, DeJesus has a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years and is required to operate a vehicle with an ignition interlock device.  As a result, he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree; a Class E Felony, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with no Ignition Interlock Device; a Class A Misdemeanor.

DeJesus was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on July 12, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
