PRESS RELEASE
 

Buffalo, NY – On November 13, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the city of Buffalo for a vehicle and traffic violation.  After interviewing the driver, Samuel D. Holifield Jr., 32, of Buffalo, NY, he was found to be intoxicated. 

Holifield was arrested and transported to SP Buffalo where he refused to give a breath sample.  Additionally, Holifield has a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years and is required to operate a vehicle with an ignition interlock device.  As a result, he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony and Operating a Motor Vehicle with no Ignition Interlock Device; a Class A Misdemeanor.

Holifield was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on November 29, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
