Buffalo, NY – On July 4, 2020, at approximately 12:30 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on Amherst St, after exiting I-190 in the city of Buffalo, for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  The driver of the vehicle, Renee N. Lankford, 38, from Buffalo, NY, was found to be intoxicated while traveling with her 8-year old child in the vehicle.  The child was turned over to a responsible party who responded to the scene.    

 

Lankford was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Buffalo, where she refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in her system.  She was subsequently charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle; a Class E Felony.

 

Lankford was released to a sober third party with appearance tickets returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on July 23, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
