Canaseraga woman arrested for DWAI-Drugs in Birdsall

On April 30, 2019, SP Fillmore Troopers arrested Tamara M. Anspach, 47, of Canaseraga, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, and several traffic violations.

Troopers investigating a report of a one-vehicle accident on County Road 16 in the town of Birdsall, observed Anspach, the operator of the vehicle, exhibiting obvious signs of impairment. She admitted to having consumed alcohol and smoking marijuana prior to operating the vehicle. She was further found to be in possession of THC oil in a vaping device. Anspach subsequently failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. She was arrested and transported to SP Fillmore, where a chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.05% BAC. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluation revealed her to be impaired.

Anspach was released with appearance tickets for Birdsall Town Court, where she is due to appear in June.
