On March 18, 2020, State Police in Schodack arrested 35-year-old Bryan D. Geel of Castleton, for Burglary 2nd degree (C felony) and Criminal Mischief 4th degree (A misdemeanor).

On Monday, State Police responded to the burglary of a residence in the Town of Schodack. Upon arriving at the scene, patrols discovered that the suspect had forced entry into the home through a back door, and had stolen medication. No one was home at the time of the incident. Assistance from witnesses in the area helped lead police to Geel who was subsequently taken into custody.

Geel was arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail. He is due back in court on March 23, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
