Cattaraugus man arrested for DWAI-Drugs in Ellicottville

On May 5, 2019, SP Amity Troopers arrested Levi H. Kent, 25, of Cattaraugus, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

Troopers were processing the subject of a separate DWI arrest when Kent arrived at SP Ellicottville to transport that subject home. Troopers observed Kent, who admitted to driving his vehicle to SP Ellicottville, exhibiting obvious signs of impairment. He admitted to having taken a combination of prescription drugs prior to operating the vehicle. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluation confirmed Kent to be impaired.

Kent was processed at SP Ellicottville and released with appearance tickets for Ellicottville Town Court where he is due to appear later this month.
